I know what it means to see your life take a different direction.

I haven’t always been an astrologer, and accompanying others was not a vocation that presented itself to me as an obvious path.

My journey has unfolded through several professional lives, through changes I chose and others I never anticipated. Some led me to seek greater freedom. Others profoundly challenged what I thought I knew about myself and the life I wanted to live.

It was through these experiences, but also through the training, research and practice that accompanied them, that the way I work today gradually took shape.

Reconnecting with freedom

For many years, I worked in professional environments very different from the one I work in today.

After several years in management roles, I chose to take my career in a different direction and moved into human resources, where my work included questions relating to the working environment and the organisation of work.

Over time, however, I felt increasingly out of step with the corporate world and with the place I could occupy within it. I wanted to feel aligned with my values again. So I left salaried employment and created my own wine tourism business.

It was a wonderful experience. It allowed me to build a business that felt more like my own and to work almost exclusively with an international clientele. Then Covid closed the borders and abruptly brought the business to a halt.

That period of suspension also opened up a space I hadn’t expected. I read extensively, explored new approaches and began to engage more deeply with questions that would gradually come to occupy an important place in my life.

When the borders reopened, my business resumed almost as before. But in the meantime, something had begun to shift. Among other things, I decided to stop drinking alcohol. In a business built entirely around wine, that choice was obviously far from insignificant.

When life doesn’t pick up where it left off

When cancer entered my life, it didn’t come with a lesson to be learnt or a new direction to follow. First and foremost, it disrupted what was already there.

Illness doesn’t only threaten the body. It touches something much deeper in our sense of who we are and of our own existence. It makes us vulnerable, sometimes dependent, where we were used to thinking of ourselves as autonomous. It unsettles our bearings, our relationship with time and with the future, but also that seemingly simple question: who am I when I can no longer be who I was?

And behind all these questions lies an even more radical one: the question of our own existence, and of its possible end.

When treatment ended, it wasn’t simply a matter of picking up my life where I had left it. Something had changed. I knew, viscerally, that certain ways of living, working and imagining the future no longer felt right for me.

What followed was less a career change than a long process of searching, questioning and rebuilding.

The training I undertook, particularly in psychology and astrology, together with the years of research that accompanied this period, gradually transformed both the way I understand these passages in life and the way I accompany others through them.

04

Experience alone is not enough

Having experienced illness, a separation or a profound period of questioning can give us an intimate understanding of what it means to lose some of our bearings. But having lived through an experience does not mean knowing what another person is going through, or what she needs.

This is precisely where training becomes essential.

It taught me to listen to an experience that is not my own, to recognise what I might be tempted to project onto it, and not to rush to give it meaning. It also taught me that accompanying someone does not mean leading her towards an answer I believe I already know.

My own story is therefore part of the practitioner I have become, but it is not a lens through which I read the stories of others.

Every woman comes with her own story, her resources, her difficulties, her questions and her own way of moving through what is happening to her. This is where my work begins.

Practice, supervision and ongoing research continue to challenge and refine this way of working. They require me to question what I think I know, to deepen my understanding and my tools, and to leave room for what cannot immediately be understood.

05

An evolving practice.

” My way of working draws on several fields that I have been studying and bringing into dialogue for a number of years. “

Psychosynthesis

Between 2023 and 2025, I trained in psychosynthesis at the Psychosynthesis Trust in London. I completed the Graduate Certificate in Psychosynthesis Foundations, before continuing with a further year of training in Counselling in Psychosynthesis.

Those two years profoundly shaped the way I approach my work: paying attention to the person in all her dimensions, to her resources as much as to her difficulties, as well as to questions of identity, meaning and transformation.

ASTROLOGY

My training in astrology began at the École d’Astrologie de Lyon, with Pascale Bergeron, before continuing at the Sydney Astrology School, which I joined in July 2024. In April 2026, I completed the school’s full four-level curriculum, graduating at its fourth and final level, Expert.

My astrological practice is primarily psychological, while also drawing on humanistic and evolutionary approaches and on an ongoing exploration of astrology’s history, foundations and different traditions.

Ongoing research

But my education extends beyond the formal training I have undertaken. Research is an essential part of my work.

I continue to read, study and research across psychology, psychosynthesis, astrology, mythology and symbolic work, as well as life transitions, identity and vocation.

This research directly informs my practice. It allows me to bring different perspectives into dialogue, question their limitations, and gradually develop an approach that does not simply juxtapose different methods, but brings them into relationship when doing so can shed light on the experience of the person I am working with.

06

Today, how I work

Today, my practice brings together several dimensions that were, for a long time, separate in my own journey: psychology, astrology, symbolic work, as well as close attention to the person’s lived experience.

I do not try to fit what a woman is going through into a particular framework. Depending on what she is experiencing and what she is looking for, some approaches may be helpful, while others may not.

What matters to me is to begin with her experience: what is happening to her, what it is shifting, the questions it brings to the surface, and the meaning she may — or may not — begin to find in it.

Astrology can sometimes offer another perspective. Psychology can allow us to explore more deeply what is at play. Symbolic work can open a path where words are not always enough. But none of these languages takes the place of the person’s own experience.

This way of working is at the heart of Alkymissia today.
